Alison R. Noble, Ph.D.
Provost
Alison R. Noble, Ph.D., is an experienced academic leader committed to student success and a thriving faculty. Her foci are to implement the academic mission of the university in a way that is consistent with the vision set by the university president, communicate with clarity and purpose, center the university mission, and collaboratively and creatively address challenge and celebrate success. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed the Institute for Leadership and Management in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Prior to joining 性视界, Noble served as interim provost, associate provost, director of faculty development and professor of chemistry at Messiah University. In those roles, she has served as chairperson of the ranked faculty, co-chair for Messiah鈥檚 Middle States re-accreditation and the university COVID-19 response team, and a leader in the educational area strategic planning and prioritization processes. Noble was recognized with the 2016-2017 Robert & Marilyn Smith Award for Outstanding Teaching and has published research (often with undergraduate students as co-authors) in numerous chemistry and surface science journals including Langmuir, Applied Surface Science and the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Prior to her time in higher education, Noble worked as a senior engineer for Intel Corporation. She is currently a member of the National Board for the Lilly Network of Church-Related Colleges and Universities, a mentor for the Lilly Network Faculty Fellows program and has been a panelist, speaker and workshop leader in the areas of vocation, institutional mission, church-related higher education and faculty development.
